An appeal to Church Leaders

Our website sets out the case for Creationism as a valid scientific argument for life's origin. The choice for the Church and society at large is between Evolution based ideology, and Creation based theology, it is one or the other. Sadly most Christian denominations have opted to believe in the former despite overwhelming evidence to support the latter. This opening page presents a summary of the more in-depth details found on our other pages. At this point we should perhaps mention the truly remarkable YouTube video, 'Is Genesis History?' the first link on our first drop down menu. Assuming that you have found time to view it and regardless of whether you are convinced by the robust and compelling arguments it presents, Intelligent Design speaks for itself and does not need supporting evidence from other sources.
So in a nut shell what does ID do? Well in our view, and it is difficult to believe otherwise, ID proves that all life including plants, insects, microbes, animals and humans were designed and built from the very beginning to function in the many diverse ways unique to each species. This incredible feat of engineering required an intellect far beyond the capacity of any human being. In our view there is only one candidate for this role, namely, the God of the Christian Bible and this view is of course strictly in line with the historical evidence in Genesis.

"Haven't you read," he replied, "that at the beginning the Creator 'made them male and female', ...

Please do read on if you doubt Jesus's word, have hours to spare, and wish to discover the many levels of evidence for the Creationist rather than the Evolutionist explanation for life. There are copious links to articles written by scientists working in the field which backup our claims.

A wealth of recent research in molecular biology reveals that life at the cellular level is hugely complex. The only plausible explanation for this complexity is that it is the result of design attributable to a supreme intellect. As Christians we know where this intelligence resides. It might surprise you to know that the Intelligent Design (ID) Movement started as far back as 1984 with the book, "The Mystery of Life's Origin" so a re-evaluation is long overdue. The good news is that the origin of life is no longer a mystery, even so there has been a marked reluctance by many in society to give ID a place at the table of ideas perhaps because if acknowledged as true it would place obligations on the way lives are lived. On a positive note it is highly likely to drive up people's interest in what Churches have to offer as Creationism is so much more believable and appealing than cold Darwinian Evolution. God would once again reign supreme as He would be restored to His rightful place in people's hearts and minds as the architect of all life on Earth.

Mathematical Challenges to Darwin's Theory of Evolution

We are using the term 'Creationism' in the sense that all life forms came into existence through the outworking of intelligent design, and that the designer and implementer was the God of the Christian Bible.

Psalm 139:13,14
13
For you
CREATED my inmost being;
    you knit me together in my mother's womb.
14
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well.

What it means to be fearfully and wonderfully made

Currently there is no scientific evidence available to corroborate the 6 day period of creation, and it is difficult to imagine there ever will be, so acceptance of this requires an act of faith. On the other hand there are strong arguments based on growing amounts of geological evidence for accepting the age of the Earth based on Bible chronology, also for the occurence of the Noah flood, at the same time rejecting long ages based on the largely discredited theory of uniformitarianism that was proposed in the 19th century by Charles Lyell.

101 evidences for a young age of the Earth and the Universe

You will notice the author Dr Don Batten is not presenting his evidence as proof of a young Earth. Unlike atheist leaning scientists, TV presenters, etc., who make unsustantiable claims about ages, presenting them to the public as fact, he is being honest and his evidence is backed up by reference to research carried out by other scientists in the field. Evolution based theories on the origin of life, including Theistic Evolution, are reliant on an old Earth and scientists with a materialistic World View will continue unabated to issue wild statements in the press in support of long ages in order to convince the public to reject belief in a Creator, and the word of God in the Bible.

Dinosaurs and the flood from Answers in Genesis

As regards the Genesis description of the act of Creation itself clearly God could not have gone into detail about how it was accomplished because it would not have been understood then, or now, or at any point in the future by mankind, even so our limitation is often used as an excuse to reject the entire story. We will never know how He achieved these amazing things, and it is not at all beyond the realms of possibility that He literally did just issue commands and the unlimited powers that are at his disposal were brought to bear. We either accept that God is all powerful and is able to carry out whatever He deems necessary, or we reject Him and what he stands for. It is an all-or-nothing situation, the choice is ours.

So we appeal to the Church to give serious thought to the message from ID because with their support we will be able to reach the people with the good news that the Christian God created us just as He said He did. There can surely be no better news than that?

We urge you to give serious thought to the issues that we are bringing to the for. If you do not like what we are trying to do, or the way we are trying to do it, simply email us with your thoughts. We will not be offended by comments you care to make and we will give serious consideration to any constructive suggestions. There are a few comments on the website that criticise Church Leaders for their poor to non-existent response to our emails. We respectfully request that whilst you may not personally agree with the obvious conclusions that can be drawn from ID research, or approve of our campaign to raise awareness of it, you would at least be prepared to reveal the existence of our website to parishioners enabling them to access and evaluate it for themselves. This would help to open up an honest debate on the subject enabling people to reach their own conclusions.

We have no desire to cast the Church in a bad light, and we are also acutely aware of the controversial nature of the issue at stake with many in society still believing in Darwin's Theory of Evolution, or some modern day variant of it.
To help cushion the Church we have put in place measures to ensure that our website is not readily visible on the Internet. This should give the Church ample time to get its house in order and acknowledge that the old Theistic Evolution era has passed and needs to be replaced by a return to the Biblical truth recorded in Genesis. This reversal is justified by firm scientific evidence that indicates life came into existence via an act of Creation.

Much of the space on our web site is devoted to trying to convince people that Creationism is by far the most plausible explanation for the emergence of life on our planet. There is a wealth of reading material, and Internet links to articles written by experts in the field, to back up our claims that life in all its glory came into existence through an act of Creation by our Almighty God rather than by naturalistic processes that rule Him out, such as Neo-Darwinism. Theistic Evolution, the variant currently adopted by all of the traditional mainline Protestant denominations leaves God with only a bit part role in the story of Creation at best, causes confusion in the minds of ordinary people because there is no consensus of opinion, and rewrites the Bible account of origins relying instead on the conjured up, ever changing, say-so of man. For all these reasons Theistic Evolution is therefore neither pleasing to God nor man and like Darwinian Evolution itself will not stand the test of time. Little wonder that it is never referred to by the Church.

The following statistics are from a YouGov report carried out in Britain:
41% of the general public believe there is no God or higher authority.
27% of the general public believe in the existence of God.
56% of Christians believe in God.

Note: People that claim to be Christian do not necessarily practise Christianity, they claim to be Christian because they live in a Christian Country. Another survey revealed that 37% of British people believe there is a God. Every survey carried out produces a different set of statistics. In conclusion a high percentage (circa 40%) of people in Britain do not believe there is a God. Four in 10 Americans have a creationist view of human origins, while 33% believe humans evolved with God's guidance and 22% without it. By comparison more than 80% disagree with creationism and intelligent design in Britain.

At this point we should perhaps summarise the main belief options that are in current circulation:
1) Believe there is no God (atheists).
2) Belief in Neo-Darwinism.
3) Belief in Theistic Evolution.
4) Belief in the existence of God, or a higher authority.
5) Belief in a God that created Adam and Eve in accordance with scripture.

History of Eve (Hawwah)

The question we need to answer is, 'which of these ideologies are impacted by ID discoveries and what bearing do they have, if any, on them'.

Answers based on simple logic:
1) is ruled out completely because the design visible in nature required a designer, or a Creator.
2) is ruled out because it relies on God denying random mutations and natural selection (materialistic approach that eliminates design) to account for the emergence of life.
3) is cast into considerable doubt because it only affords God a bit part role in Creation at best. Why would God only tinker with the problem and leave the rest to evolutionary processes which are now known to suffer severe limitations, and are also largely damaging to life, when He has the power to do what Genesis said He did! Evolution explains the survival but not the arrival of species. The survival is down to natural selection the process through which populations of living organisms adapt and change over time thanks to their clever design. Individuals in a population are naturally variable, meaning that they are all genetically different to a degree. This variation means that some individuals have traits better suited to the environment than others.
4) is confirmed with 100% certainty.
5) is confirmed with a high degree of certainty.

Of course there are many other factors in life that help mould our view on the issue of origins which may add to, or subtract from, the degree of confidence we have in the implications stemming from ID research. Regardless of this results (1) or (4) should surely be a wake-up call for atheists! Result 3) should be concerning to the Church.
The pressure in the media from Godless people to abandon religion and replace it with a materialistic World view goes unabated, added to that the temptation to go astray is fueled by a vast array of alternative idols to worship. People need to be rescued from this onslaught and led back to the faith. So we appeal to Church Leaders to help restore faith in God now that confidence has been fully restored by scientists working in the field revealing the intricate design details found at the cellular level in all living organisms. These remarkable discoveries leave little room for doubting the Genesis account.

Possible ways for Church Leaders to engage

1) Convince him or herself that there is nothing wrong with things as they stand and do nothing at all - the most popular but most concerning response (appears to account for over 95 percent of those canvassed!)
2) Briefly mention our existence to ones congregation on a single occasion.
3) Give out our website address without making any recommendation to use it.
4) Run a sermon that touches on Genesis mentioning us as a possible source of information.
5) Mention us in the churches newsletter.
6) Discuss possible uses of our website at a PCC meeting.
7) Recommend our website to anyone interested in the conundrum of how life originated on our planet.
8) Suggest to the congregation that they might like to forward their testimony to our website.
9) Agree as a Church that a bold statement should be made on our website proclaiming belief in the good news implication from ID research that life was designed and created by God in accordance with scripture.
10) Along with a combination of 7, 8, and 9 add the churches details to our Church promotion page.

If you are in camp 1) perhaps you should read the following from Creation.com highlighting what is taught to students in Western Universities right now:

'The various attempts to convert Christian students into loyal Darwinian evolutionists demonstrate one thing very clearly: Western pluralism is a myth. There will always be a dominant religion in society, and right now in the United States and many other western nations, this religion is secular humanism. The secular universities in our country are merely temples dedicated to the propagation of atheism and materialism. Biology classes are the scene of instruction and catechizing in the faith of evolution. The deck is so heavily stacked against Christianity, which over a century ago used to be the dominant religion, that it is virtually excluded from all levels of public education. Woefully, some college educators who call themselves Christians, even at Christian universities, also assist in this very process'.

This doesn't give the impression that all is well in the World from a Christian perspective, does it?

The summaries on our web pages are there to help the reader arrive at the same conclusion as ourselves, that life was set in motion at the beginning by God producing different created kinds (distinctly different creatures, and of course seed-bearing plants, with men and women being at the pinnacle of that achievement).

Scientific evidence for this has emerged in relatively recent times as a result of research in molecular biology that confirms living organisms were designed (called intelligent design (ID)). Prior to that, belief in a Creator wasn't just down to trusting God's word in the Bible as we were able to see with our own eyes the Glory of Creation that surrounds us every minute of every day, yet many still choose to disbelieve. Paul sums it up nicely for us:

Romans 1:20
'For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities "his eternal power and divine nature" have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.'

You would think that God would give up in despair and leave us to suffer the consequences of our own thoughts and actions at this point, seeing us as a hopeless case, a lost cause. Instead He pulled out one last stop, Intelligent Design, a last ditch attempt to open our eyes to the truth. Surely this would be a game changer and convince even the most doubting among us, but sadly it has proved not to be the case. Many have continued on the path of rejection discounting this most compelling of evidence out of hand, and demonstrating once more the appropriateness of the words, 'Adam's helpless race', in Charles Wesley's famous hymn. 'Hopeless' might be a more apt choice of words.

And can it be

The following three videos are included as a source of encouragement to those who have had bad experiences in life causing them to doubt God's existence. Why would a loving God allow these bad things to happen to people? It is doubtful if anyone has gone through life without some bad experiences. It effects different people in different ways. Some are drawn closer to God, whilst others have gone in the opposite direction. Some of course never believed in God in the first place. Horatio Spafford is unique because of the awful tragedies that impacted his life and his reaction to them which was to honour God by working tirelessly for Him, continuing a lifelong spiritual pilgrimage.
In 1870 their son Horatio Junior died of scarlet fever at the age of four.
The Great Chicago Fire of 1871 ruined him financially.
On November 22, 1873 he lost all four of his daughters in the sinking of the steamship Ville du Havre in Mid-Atlantic. Fortunately his wife Anna survived.
Despite all of this his faith in God never wavered. Perhaps the courage and determination of this man should be a lesson to us all.
In August 1881, the Spaffords moved from America to settle in Jerusalem.
Horatio Spafford died of malaria on 16th October 1888.
Anna Spafford continued to work until her own death in 1923 in the surrounding areas of Jerusalem to support the American Christian Colony established there in 1881 with her husband Horatio.

It Is Well With My Soul is a hymn penned by hymnist Horatio Spafford and composed by Philip Bliss.

You might now be in a position to return to the opening page with your decision on the hotly debated issue of origins by using the Creation logger added on 29th November 2021. This will give us, and all our visitors, a better understanding of people's viewpoints in this area. Without any form of feedback we will have to continue operating very much in the dark, unable to confidentally continue building a case for the creationist view of life, a quest which in our view is of the utmost importance to us all. We would add to the meaning of Romans 1:20 by declaring that our viewers are without excuse if they fail to give this matter serious thought, and respond to our requests for feedback in one form or another. We hardly need remind you of the 3 routes available:
1) Email us in confidence with your thoughts (lacks anonymity).
2) Send anonymous feedback using the option available on several of our pages.
3) Provide anonymous feedback using the data logger on the front page. (it simply adds one to the appropriate slot underneath the TRUE, the FALSE, or the UNSURE invitation boxes)

The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.

They have no speech, they use no words;

Yet their voice goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.'
