Adverse influence of media outlets The damage being done to Christian faith by the media The author describes in detail the adverse influence from a Christian perspective of the manner of reporting by the press in America on key issues that have a direct bearing on peoples faith. The public expect to read unbiased reporting of events taking place but this is apparently not the case according to well researched statistics. Members of the press are renowed for using their office as a platform for disseminating their own personal views on issues within society whenever they have an opportunity. The public are largely oblivious of this, consequentally over time these biased views become increasingly adopted by society, molding the way we think. News and information media have tremendous power to shape our attitudes. What follows are examples from recent press reports in America that illustrate current belief that science reporting now replaces the voice of God. Similar press reporting and associated belief systems are paralleled in the UK: The press seem hell-bent on undermining the message of the Bible that we have a God who Created life. What follows are examples that illustrate their culpability in this regard: The goal of many journalists today is to create a new world order and enlist as many people as possible to assist in its development. According to a recent survey around 70% of reporters believe they are working to 'reform society'. So, do journalists argue from a Christian perspective or from an atheistic one? A case in point is the majority attitude towards Darwinian Evolution. Whilst an increasing number of scientists now challenge Darwinian theory, most journalists criticise their stance claiming it is based on religion rather than science and go to lengths to try to uncover the religious views of the dissenting scientists. In 2007 researchers surveyed approximately 1000 professors from colleges and universities across America. More than 70% of the professors described the Bible as "an ancient book of fables, legends, history, and moral precepts recorded by men." God is a nonentity in their opinion and the Bible largely a work of fiction. Students naturally take on board what their professors tell them so this anti-Christian message will inevitably be adopted by many. The majority of other professors stay largely silent for fear of courting controversy, and damaging their careers. A survey taken in 2009 reported that 83% of the general public in America believed in God whereas only 33% of scientists did. Netflix the popular streaming service and production company delights in offering content dripping in anti-Christian messages because it boosts sales. For example, it targets children and young adults with sexually explicit material. Depiction of violence and depravity yield the biggest profits so it is unlikely there will be a change of direction any time soon. Social media in general negatively affects boys and girls in different ways. A study conducted by researchers at Dublin City University found a positive correlation between social media usage and depressive symptoms in both boys and girls, however the effect was greater in girls. Media outlets in general are concerned primarily with maintaining their popularity and revenue streams. Morality goes out of the window if it stands in the way of their drive to fill their coffers. In conclusion we need to put all this negativity into perspective! Most members of the human race do their best to uphold standards of behaviour. It is a minority that seek to bring the human race into disrepute. The battle of good against evil has always been a part of human existence. Let us hope and believe that goodness will prevail in the end as promised in the final book of the Bible.
The function of the brain is even more complex than its structure with consciousness as the greatest mystery.
The Glory of God's Creation He calls the sun to wake the dawn And run the course of day 'Til evening falls in crimson rays. His fingerprints in flakes of snow, His breath upon this spinning globe; He charts the eagle's flight; Commands the newborn baby's cry. Refrain: Hallelujah! Let all creation stand and sing, "Hallelujah!" Fill the earth with songs of worship, tell the wonders of creation's King. 2. Creation gazed upon His face; The ageless One in time's embrace Unveiled the Father's plan Of reconciling God to man. A second Adam walked the earth, Whose blameless life would break the curse, Whose death would set us free To live with Him eternally. 3. Creation longs for His return, When Christ shall reign upon the earth; The bitter wars that rage Are birth pains of a coming age. When He renews the land and sky, All heav'n will sing and earth reply With one resplendent theme: The glory of our God and King! Creation sings the Father's song
