THE CONSEQUENCES OF ADOPTING DARWIN'S THEORY
(last updated: 13th April 2021)

We should not rely too heavily of course on what scientists have to say about origins in order to develop our faith. Most but by no means all scientists are secularists meaning that they prefer to place their faith in the word, or work, of other scientists (man) rather than in the word of God. This orientation puts man in control rather than God, and we have all seen where that can and frequently does lead. Throughout human history the decisions of some men, and also some women, in positions of power with evil intentions have brought chaos and destruction to society. Darwinian Evolution, which is dependent on the notion of survival of the fittest, was used by Adolf Hitler as an excuse to justify the extermination by ethnic cleansing on a vast scale of those he considered inferior to the Aryan race. A Nazi propaganda film shown in 1937 declared, 'All weak living things will inevitably perish in nature. In the last few decades, mankind has sinned frightfully against the law of natural selection. We haven't just maintained life unworthy of life, we have even allowed it to multiply! The descendants of these sick people look like this sick person here (film shows the image of a disfigured handicapped person)'. Hitler was not alone in his belief. It is an undisputed historical fact that the other monsters, Joseph Stalin, Mao Zedong, and Pol Pot all had the same worldview (the fundamental cognitive orientation of an individual or society) and used it to justify mass extermination of people they regarded as inferior, or, less than perfect. So Darwinian Evolution isn't just bad science it has been used as an excuse to murder vast populations of innocent people.
Fast forward to the present day:
In a recent interview (May 2021) atheist Richard Dawkins was asked to logically defend a horrific 2014 tweet that counseled women to “abort it [a baby with Down Syndrome] and try again. It would be immoral to bring it into the world if you have a choice.” In this interview, seven years later, Dawkins backpedaled, saying “immoral” was too strong but that such a choice would be “wise and sensible.”
Can you by any stretch of the imagination believe that a loving God would have put in place evolutionary mechanisms based on survival of the fittest or natural selection as the primary means of creating the complex life forms we see on Earth today, as some people believe, given where it would inevitably lead? Yes, natural selection, or survival of the fittest, does operate within nature, and for good reasons, but it is not there to be hijacked by certain intellectuals intent on using it as an excuse for advocating the legitimising of euthanasia for those they deem unfit, or unworthy of life.
Darwin's 'On the Origin of Species' was translated into German in 1875 and his ideas had been earnestly promoted by Ernst Haeckel a German zoologist and evolutionist. He argued that Darwinism required the abandonment of Christian morals, so the stage had been set to justify the 20th century genocides that were to follow. Many have tried to distance Darwin from the human consequences of his ideas but Darwin himself made his own beliefs clear concerning the status of Aboriginal people when he wrote:
'At some future period, not very distant as measured by centuries, the civilized races of man will almost certainly exterminate, and replace, the savage races throughout the world ... The break between man and his nearest allies will then be wider, ... instead of as now between the negro or Australian (Aboriginal) and the gorilla.'
The monsters referred to above took his message to heart and applied it to other races as well for good measure. What a legacy Darwin has bequeathed us! Darwin clearly knew full well where his theory would lead! Isn't it sad that many people in society allowed themselves to be lured into the trap of believing in this false, and highly dangerous, doctrine that was based on little more than inspired guesswork owing to the lack of availability of any suitable scientific tools at the time to prove or to disprove it. Given the devastating effect that Darwin's book has had on religious belief did he perhaps unwittingly collude with the Devil during its production?

plausible explanation for the perpetration of these crimes against humanity?

Scientists have been proved wrong, or only partially correct, many times in the past. God speaks to His creation on a daily basis and in diverse ways, if only we would listen. There are countless millions of ordinary people Worldwide who do of course and without perhaps knowing it they are silent but powerful advocates of intelligent design.

You will by now have gathered, based on our arguments above and statements on other pages, that we have come to fully accept the position set by the ID movement that there is intelligent design in nature, and the good news is that it reinforces the traditional understanding that life came about as an act of creation by an Almighty God. The ID community of scientists do not generally dispute this obvious conclusion but rightly insist that their discoveries are not informed, or influenced in any way, by the Genesis account in the Bible.
